About Garry O'Donnell

Hi! My name is Garry O’Donnell, and I am a 53-year-old Bengal cat breeder.

I have 3 Bengal cats and know everything about them, which is why I decided to open this blog. To tell you all about Bengal cats and why they are such great pets.

I divorced a few years ago and get to spend time with my kids, ages 12 and 15, every second week for the whole week. This gives me some time to write you these words.

Both of my kids live near me, and we have an excellent relationship. In fact, my ex-wife and I are still great friends.

We met when we were very young. We met just a few months before the first time I had an encounter with a Bengal cat. I was 21 years old, working for my dad’s company for iron cages. 

One of his customers had a Bengal cat at home and wanted to shape a special cage for him. I was amazed when I went to his house and saw the Bengal cat. I immediately fell in love with its beautiful physical traits and wild personality.

Since that day, 32 years ago, I have been breeding Bengal cats and spreading the word about how awesome they are. But what makes me the luckiest guy in the world is that my two girls took my passion for this great cat, and now, whenever they are here, they take care of my 3 Bengal cats as if they were their own. Well, their sort of do.

My girls were actually the ones who drove me to open this blog and share my knowledge with the wide, wide web.

So here I am, doing what I love – breeding Bengals and talking about them!

I will be sharing tips, stories, and anecdotes related to Bengal cats and why you should have one too!
